Brenton Gray has been growing Australian businesses for almost 40 years as an entrepreneur, manager and leader. He began his working life at the Betta Shoe Factory started by his grandparents in the 1927, a business that at its peak manufactured 1500 pairs of shoes a day and employed 170 people. In 1992, Brenton started his own company, Grayco Foods, which won the inaugural Southern Highlands Business of the Year award in its first year of operation.Brenton sold Grayco Foods in 1998 and began working as Sales Manager at Davell Products. He was invited to take over the company by the then owners (including his father-in-law), and in 1999 he purchased Davell with business partner Scott Brew. Brenton bought out Scott in 2005, who remains the company’s Production Manager. Today, Davell continues the tradition of Brenton’s family in providing quality innovative Australian made products, with 25 staff manufacturing steel commercial furniture and custom-made storage solutions.
