I received my Music Performance Degree, with a minor in Spanish, from Ball State University. I then attended the University of North Texas, obtaining a Master's in Music Performance with a Related Field in Jazz Studies.I had the privilege of being a member of the North Texas Wind Symphony throughout my time at UNT, as well as many other fantastic ensembles. These ranged from Jazz, Orchestra, and Brass Quintet groups. After nearly ten years of teaching private lessons, I took the leap and became a middle school band director at DeWitt Perry in CFBISD. I’m so happy to have this opportunity and absolutely love my new job. Outside of my regular classes, also have the privilege of running the jazz program and co-teaching the mariachi program.I still play gigs outside of school. The big three keeping me busy right now are Mr. P.C., Mulligan’s Revenge, and Buffett Beach. I also play principal trumpet in the Dallas Asian Winds.
