Active Duty Director - Lead mid-level operational leaders who in turn are in charge of two separate flight facilities, flying standardization, flight training, and maintenance up to depot level. This aviation enterprise consists of a fixed wing C26, ten UH60L Assault Blackhawks, two UH60A+ MEDVAC Blackhawks, Eighteen AH64D Longbow Apaches, and four LUH72 Lakotas, and approximately 200 personnel.

Active Duty Battalion Command - command the largest manned and widely dispersed battalion in the State of North Carolina with subordinate companies and detachments of personnel assigned from Elizabeth City to Murphy. Exercise executive level leadership and management over a Command Team of 20 highly trained leaders and doers who provide supporting actions and oversight of Personnel Strength Maintenance (recruiting, retention, and attrition management strategy) operations for a 10,200+ assigned personnel organization. Lead and motivate teams in demographic and causation analysis from a complex soft systems network approach in order to develop organizational strategy to meet mission and improve efficiency and results. 100% mission driven organization. Active Duty - plan operations and strategy for the mid to long term planning horizon. Lead and direct diverse cross-functional planning teams that prepare, coordinate, authenticate, and publish concept plans, contingency plans, and organizational strategy policy. Conduct deep analysis of National and State strategic policy in order to monitor and recommend adjustments to current strategy. Provide recommendations as a member of the Communications Strategy and Synchronization Board. Always function as a strong teammate, loyal Officer, and adaptive planner. Never stop rowing.

Additional Duty Position - Synchronize all staff actions to ensure maximum effect in order to accomplish the range of full-spectrum Theater Aviation Brigade operations in support of continental and global contingency missions. Direct planning, supervise senior staff, and provide the brigade commander plans and policy recommendations to effect mission success. Train staff in doctrinal approaches. Teach operational art and design. Supervise staff functions and provide counseling to reorient staff focus adjusting for changes in the operating environment. Combine Lean Six Sigma technique with IDEF analysis to evaluate and improve functions and processes within the established Joint Operations Planning Process, applied across the breadth of the organization. School of Advanced Military Studies

Active Duty OIC - Manage personnel, assets, programs, and training for a 420 soldier attack helicopter battalion. Submit and execute budgets for training exercises, schools, and operational execution of collective attack helicopter operations. Supervise specialty project teams during the fielding of 24 AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters in order to rapidly deploy worldwide in support of global joint contingency operations. Conduct combat attack helicopter missions in support a continuum of global contingency operations in order to preserve and protect the American way of life.

Active Duty OIC - Supervise staff planning and coordination regarding all aspects of logistics and administrative management for an attack helicopter battalion. Conduct attack helicopter operations as required by global emerging threats and rapidly changing environment.

Active Duty - Coordinate training and readiness programs for the aviation and subordinate units.

Active Duty - Conduct training and operations planning for the attack helicopter battalion. Plan in detail all theater movements, air and ground. perform duties and responsibilities as a Task Force S2 (intelligence officer) in addition to flying combat missions as an attack helicopter pilot. Conduct daily threat assessments, trend analysis, and recommend courses of action to defeat or deny the enemy.

Active Duty Enlisted - Conduct covert observation of known or suspected high traffic drug areas in support of local-state-federal LEAs, in order to interdict, interrupt, and deny access to free drug trade areas of operation. Apply cultural and tactical knowledge to conduct observation for no less than 96 uninterrupted hours, in a continuum of challenging terrain, including but not limited to rural, woodland, coastal, suburban, and municipal. Sustain proficiency as a man-tracker and contingent emergency response member for man-hunt operations in rugged terrain (specifically Western NC). Teach classes, when not in an operational cycle, to LEAs as requested to share skill specific areas. Receive training from top tier law enforcement departments within NC. Assist in search and arrest warrants for high volume/high risk serves. No original jurisdiction. Always in support to make the LEO mission easier as an enabler.

Coordinate support for National Guard Joint Operations' strategic initiatives, plans, and policy across 54 States and Territories, through a regionally sub-divided hierarchy, in order to achieve synergy and ultimately improve the efficiency, productivity, and relevance of the National Guard in its Joint, Domestic, interagency, role.

Elected by Peers - Lead an Executive Council of 18 regional recruiting leaders to assess operations, determine weaknesses, identify opportunities, and recommend policy improvements and/or changes in order to help the Army National Guard achieve their required end strength mission. This council advises the General Officer Advisory Group, The Army National Guard Recruiting Division Chief, and the National Personnel Advisory Group for the Army National Guard.
