I had the opportunity to strategize and build community relationships for Phase II of BART Silicon Valley. The Phase II extension is a six mile tunnel through downtown San Jose into Santa Clara. Environmental planing, design and engineering is expected to occur between 2013-2017.

I am the primary outreach representative for the $2.3 billion dollar BART Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension project. I serve as the primary channel through which members of the public access information.• Communications: Able to translate complex construction practices, transit planning and government systems through effective newsletters, public presentations and meetings, speaking points, media releases and public tours.• Relationship Building: Maintain key organization relationships with constituents involved or affected by the BART Silicon Valley program; including government, neighborhoods, industry groups, contractors and community members.• Public Engagement: Personal approach to constituent education and issues case management. Provide individuals with timely and accurate information.• Strategy: Collaborate with senior management, regional policy partners and consultant staff to develop and implement targeted community outreach strategies. Plans include capital project messaging, long-range road maps and hands-on community engagement tactics.• Technology: Early tech adopter and agency test user for mobile platforms, cloud technology and social media integration. Build and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Salesforce system through collaborative development methods across department teams.

Pt. Reyes National Seashore

Established procedures to develop the first comprehensive community outreach program allowing for improved local community relationships. Interviewed key community opinion leaders for a series of communications press releases in West Marin County, resulting in improved community media exposure. Photographed and modeled support maps for prospective community posting locations to help improve and ease future outreach programs.
