As National Director of Preconstruction, I work on behalf of the preconstruction team to promote and champion preconstruction within the firm. My goal is to help develop a next generation preconstruction team which includes an appropriately structured, adequately staffed, and properly skilled to enable our firm to deliver superior leadership and service, internally to our teams, and externally to our customers. In this role, I work with our regional leadership in Preconstruction, Design, and Operations, to define strategies that promote standardized processes, create consistency, and proactively supports our Target Value Delivery mindset and Integrated culture.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Working with Preconstruction and Project Management experts, I manage the implementation efforts that include deployment, training, and support for the integration of DESTINI applications (DESTINI Data Manager, DESTINI Profiler, and DESTINI Estimator. Ask me what DESTINI stands for!). As a team, our goal is to establish integrated workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and encourage innovation in the Preconstruction process. This includes the development and maintenance of an extensive cost library for the national organization.When time allows for it, I am also a passionate "5D" advocate and superuser of our flagship product, DESTINI Profiler. I enjoy the opportunity to work with teams using the software to establish a clearer project definition during the early phases of project planning and design. Lastly, as the technical subject matter expert, I also lead our team's innovation of, and use of, DESTINI for Life Sciences. This includes the design and development of new functionality specific to the Life Sciences market sector. Working with a cross-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, architects, construction professionals, and software engineers, our team works together to specify functional requirements, storyboard workflows, test software, and implement these new solutions on real-world projects.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As Director of Services, I lead a team who provide an array of technology-related services ranging from training and product implementation to project planning and pre-construction services. We work with a diverse group including Architects/Engineers, Contractors and Owners in both the Public and Private sectors. When we are not training organizations on how to use our products, we are frequently teaming with other project teams to add a unique perspective and value to the project planning and early design process.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

In this role, I became one of the organization's original "super users" of DProfiler, a proprietary software developed by Beck Technology. I received additional exposure to the planning and conceptual design project phases, as well as estimating and preconstruction by supporting our design, estimating, and preconstruction teams. I experienced tremendous personal growth during this period because of rapid economic development which led to multitude of project experiences and project types, and working with a variety of teams and individuals.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

In this phase of my career, I began a cross-training experience working with our Architecture group where I learned and practiced the fundamentals of design and furthered my integrated services experience. This opportunity helped to expand my design vocabulary and reinforced the essentials of planning, code requirements, design documentation, and construction administration. This is where I also obtained my first exposure to our technology platform and furthered my cross-training experience with time in Estimating.

I began my career with The Beck Group in 2001 as a Project Engineer, working my way to Project Administrator. I had the privilege of beginning on both integrated services (Design/Build) projects and traditional delivery projects (Design/Bid/Build) where I learned the fundamentals of the architecture and construction industry.
