At Canon, USA, in Melville, New York, Brent worked as a Technical Advisor for digital cinema cameras, DSLRs, and accessories in the Imaging Technologies and Communications Group. There he developed professional product awareness through targeted marketing, video production, education, and training. Brent acted as an on-camera YouTube spokesman for Canon professional products. He also wrote and produced video content, product articles and blogs for the Canon, USA website. Reaching out across the US and South America, he created live presentations for trade shows, workshops, and seminars on how pros could best use Canon digital motion picture equipment and software. He is currently a member of IATSE Local 600, the International Cinematographer's Guild, as a Director of Photography. Previously, he served as an associate producer, production designer, and art director on several series for PBS - both in the studio and on location. Altogether, he worked on over 80 half-hour episodes - both in film and video. Brent learned his people management skills as a Director of Operations in NYC for Time, Inc, where he managed a 24/7 staff of 24 at a broadcast center in Midtown Manhattan and played a key role in building one of the nation’s first closed-circuit, pay-per-view networks. As Producer/Director at Telemation Productions, Inc., he launched one of the first regional video production and post-production facilities in the country. Brent operated his own successful video production company in Denver, Colorado, where he directed, produced and shot countless commercials and video content of all types -- in almost every format. His many awards over his career include two Clios (commercials) and two IBA's (International Broadcast Awards). He has created broadcast content for networks ESPN, FOX and Fox Sports, NBC, PBS and The Speed Channel. Specialties: Besides his passion for marketing consumer electronics, Brent has extensive experience in automotive advertising. As a Director/Cameraman or DoP, he pitches creative concepts, designs shots, lights sets, and operates a variety of digital cinema cameras, cranes, and remote heads.
