I was recruited to overhaul and optimize the existing organizational structure to provide enhanced lending services to members. I set the strategic vision across the credit union with a renewed focus on increasing organic membership. I influence and gain key stakeholder buy-in throughout the total scope of projects. I’m an instrumental member of investment and loan participation committees, guiding the credit union to make informed data-driven decisions based on liquidity. I manage a team of 3 direct reports and 24 indirects with a discretionary budget of $400k.Highlights of my accomplishments include:•Revamped the entire organizational structure to better serve members through record-setting growth in lending in 12 months. oImplemented a new centralized consumer lending model to boost growth of consumer direct lending from 3.97% to 13.99%. oGrew consumer direct portfolio by 115.3%, increased GAP sales by 136%, and warranty sales by 180%.•Pursued and awarded a $125k CDFI Fund technical assistant grant to promote financially inclusive lending practices. •Initiated and implemented the ITIN lending program and a partnership with the Mexican Consulate to better serve the local Hispanic community. Resulted in increased organic growth and earned the Juntos Avanzamos designation. •Spearheaded a state charter to federal charter conversion and field of membership expansion.•Successfully navigated the credit union through the mortgage refinance boom and closed 195% more mortgage loans and 191% more loan dollars in 2020 than 2019.•Modernized the marketing strategy with a refurbished website and online presence, enhanced digital Google pay-per-click and Facebook ads, and created bespoke inbound content marketing that increased website traffic and grew Facebook followers.

I developed and led strategic planning sessions for existing credit union clients around the company’s big data strategies. Highlights of my accomplishments include:•Facilitated 18 training sessions for 6 client credit unions focused on data transformation strategies, out-of-the-box thinking, creative problem solving, business case prioritization, and data governance.

I was promoted to develop innovative strategies to drive revenue, membership growth and generate impactful community engagement opportunities. I forged trusted relationships with mortgage lenders, networked with outside organizations, and garnered statewide collaboration for partnerships on key projects. Led a team of 3 with a budget of $60k. Highlights of my accomplishments include:•Implemented a professional development program with 86% of leadership participating. •Offered a quarterly mortgage educational program averaging 7 closed loans and $830k+ in new money per event. •Concepted an internal “Shark Tank” ideation event with 38 participants. •Won a $19,500 grant to launch a school entrepreneurship competition for 70 middle school students, 24 teachers, 9 credit unions, and 7 electric cooperatives.

I was recruited to develop and lead a 3-year professional development program from the ground up. Led a team of 3 with a budget of $40k. Highlights of my accomplishments include:•Improved employee morale, engagement, leadership skills, and volunteerism with 92% of operations staff and 97% of new staff participating in programs. Staff logged 1k+ hours of service annually. •Increased cross-sales by 12% YOY. •Expanded credit union brand awareness by becoming a trusted community outreach resource for 12k+ students within the local schools each year for age-appropriate financial education.

Here, I established from scratch a financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness program for “at promise” students. In just 3 years, 660 students opened credit union savings accounts and saved $142,500+.

I advocated to bring existing transportation program in-house, saving the school 40% in transportation costs. I launched a web-based performance review system that saved 37+ hours of staff time monthly. Maintained 95% work study sponsor retention annually.
