    • Responsible for the 3G WCDMA transmitter on the V1050 mobile phone while simultaneously testing several manufacturers’ power amplifier ICs.• Maintained Motorola’s specification for the WCDMA power amplifier IC in the 3G chipset. Coordinated test data with several IC manufacturers to identify specification non-compliance. Consulted with platform design team in final selection of two vendors for the WCDMA power amplifier. • Automated bench testing procedure for component and system level tests of the WCDMA transmitter line-up. Collected data across multiple PCB designs, power levels, and all channels in all supported bands. • Investigated WCDMA TX failures to isolate the root cause. This included analyzing bench data I collected, as well as the test data produced by the factory builds. Identified factory failures, IC failures, and system design failures. Coordinated issues with all departments and parties, and developed system level solutions where appropriate. • Responsible for the GSM receiver sensitivity on the A845, V980, and V975 mobile phones. Automated bench-testing procedure and collected data across multiple PCB designs and all channels in all supported bands.• Analyzed data to identify receiver system failures and extrapolated sources of spurious emission. • Developed solutions to failures through bypass coupling, mechanical shielding/isolation, and PCB layout modifications. Plausible solutions were extensively tested to ensure compliance across all bands and channels. Coordinated solutions with other team members to ensure acceptance. • Gained extensive hardware experience with RF and electronic test equipment, including network analyzer, spectrum/signal analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, and noise figure meter, as well as software experience in Agilent ADS, Labview, and MS Office.
