• During the acquisition process, led ipso’s due diligence response, acquisition negotiations (including price and terms), legal and accounting resource management, and communication plans.• Developed, led, and then oversaw the sales and marketing strategy; established and then oversaw ipso’s finance operations; and led strategy development among the senior leadership team. • As one of the two primary founding partners, served as the catalyst for the creation of the company and architect of the brand development (values, brand statements, tone/voice), market positioning, and launch plan.

Prior to helping start ipsoCreative, I served at a variety of companies and organizations, in a variety of places (South Carolina, Japan, Ohio), and in a variety of capacities. My work experience started primarily in project management and gradually segued into more operations roles with focus on operational improvements and strategic planning. Along the way, I've had remarkable opportunities for significant experience in the implementation of new corporate initiatives, continuous process improvements, supply chain management, eCommerce, and creative & digital marketing agency management.And I've gained a tremendous appreciation for the value of sensible and well-considered brand positioning, engaging and aesthetically pleasing branding & design, efficient code, and the power of a memorable story told through video. Some of the organizations I worked for were admirable. Some were much less than admirable (hence one reason I've refrained from listing them in this work experience). It was those organizations that contributed to the creation of ipso. Had the place that I wanted to serve existed, I'm sure I wouldn't have felt the need to help found ipso. But that place didn't exist or wasn't hiring at that time. So, we started ipso in order to fill that need for ourselves and for others. Nowadays, I'm a vocal advocate for small business entrepreneurship, the long term value of purposeful culture, and the need for more businesses to consider their role in helping all humans flourish, particularly those within their sphere of influence.

• Initiated, planned, and led 9 projects: 4 volunteer house building projects in Thailand (Oct. ’02, Oct. ’03, Oct. ’04, Mar. ‘05); 2 projects in Mongolia (June ’05, Aug. ‘07); 1 project in the Philippines (Mar. ‘04); and 2 projects in Guatemala (July ’08, July ‘09). Volunteer team size varied from 19-37 with a total of 29 houses completed.• Developed cost estimates and managed trip budgets/expenses totaling $325,000 over 9 projects.
