With over 35 years of senior executive management experience in the life science markets, I have successfully launched and scaled more than 60 start-ups, as well as small, mid-sized, and large multi-nationals. I have expertise in the full range of commercial operations, from strategic and corporate planning, to marketing, global sales and distribution, business development, product development, research and development, manufacturing, QA/QC, and regulatory affairs. I am also a specialist in post-ideation to launch/go-to-market strategies and implementation, and an expert in business development activities, such as strategic partnerships/alliances, in- and out-licensing, OEM, bulk sales, and B2B.Since 2021, I have been the CEO and Co-Founder of SmartDx, a company focused on the development and commercialization of direct-to-consumer genetic testing predictive assessments for cardiac and cancerous diseases in canines. Our proprietary AI diagnostic technology uses a combination of disease risk severity prediction and predictive confidence estimation for a variety of cancers and cardiac diseases. We believe that direct-to-consumer screening for such diseases will soon become one of the pillars of modern personalized veterinary medicine, because such high-quality disease risk predictions can allow for early and directly relevant preventative care and monitoring of at-risk canines. These assessments can be initiated by the pet owner, breeder, or veterinarian with a simple mouth swab. I am passionate about leading innovation in this field and creating value for our customers, partners, and investors.
