This included oversight of Correctional Services, Unit Management, Facilities, Information Technology, Human Resources, Financial Administration, and other support services, such as Health Services and Food Services. I retired from the Bureau of Prisons in September 2019.

Supervise UNICOR, Education and Recreation programs at the Federal Correctional Institution in El Reno, Oklahoma.

Manage SAP Support team that is responsible for the support, maintenance and monitoring of the SAP system and all associated add-on components. Supervise a team for four IT Specialists who provide support for nationwide sites, including recommending and implementing solutions to functional and application problems. Use various tools to monitor system performance (i.e., Realtech Application Manager, SAP Solution Manager, etc.), using the information to recommend and implement solutions. Design and administer security processes and procedures. Maintain a SLA of 99.9% system availability for 1,500 users. Ensure that all operations comply with Federal and agency standards (NIST, OMB, DOJ, etc.). Write and edit various technical documents describing the features, functions, installation and tips for using applications, software and hardware supporting the SAP enterprise application. Manage response and compliance for various audits, including FISMA, FISCAM, Certification and Accreditation (C&A). Pursuing CISSP certification to augment security profile of our team.

Coordinated production and services for multiple plants in federal correctional institutions nationwide, including vehicle upfitting and fleet asset management services. Coordinated activities for several agencies, including DHS (CBP USBP and OFO, ICE ERO and OI, TSA), USDA, and BIA. Responsibilities included product management, operational management, staffing and financial reviews. Managed growth in fleet asset management from 22,000 units with two agencies to almost 40,000 units owned under 12 agencies. Responsible for evaluating the performance of operations by analyzing costs, production times and quality assurance. Ensured local improvements are sustained by utilizing various continual improvement programs, including Lean Six Sigma. Controlled and deployed new procedures using ISO 9001 document and process controls. As an example, participated and/or led several Lean Six Sigma team projects that reviewed customer and internal reporting requirements to ensure the most efficient use of data collected. As a result, several independent databases have been either brought into FPI's SAP ERP system or into a single reporting database. Routinely performed IT Specialist duties for Vehicle Management Information System, including performing certification and accreditation, system administration and application training.

Managed the Vehicle Maintenance Information Center (VMIC) in Three Rivers, Texas, which provides fleet management services to various federal agencies, including a call center and clerical support. Responsible for operation and program planning, including sales, earnings, inmate employment and overhead. Supervised three staff members and around twenty-five inmates. Assisted central office management in various aspects of marketing and business plan development. Supervised and developed procedures that ensure compliance with UNICOR and BOP policies. Worked daily with various customers to provide information about the system, responded to various inquiries and helped resolve issues they had. Evaluated customer needs and promoted solutions to meet those needs. Assisted local and UNICOR upper management with all aspects of the operations. Acted as Associate Warden with overall responsibility for the entire operation, including production, business office and warehouse functions. Conducted Computer Security monitoring, including implementing account management for customer agencies, certification and accreditation, database and system administration.

Managed UNIX based MCS and Windows network for manufacturing plants for UNICOR. included provisioning secure work environment for inmate access in both UNIX and Windows, including use of terminal services.
