I am currently a sophomore at Jacksonville State University. I have been involved in numerous organizations at JSU. Those being: Freshman Forum, Student Senate, JSU Ambassadors, Collegiate Legislature, Resident Assistant, Disability Support Services, and the Gospel Choir. My major is Secondary Education with a concentration in English/Language Arts. I am so excited about my career here at JSU that will lead to my profession as an educator! I have held many leadership roles throughout my years of schooling (from elementary - high). I have also held leadership roles on my jobs. My most recent employment was with the Tuscaloosa Black Chamber of Commerce where I held a supervisor position. I acquired many leadership skills in doing so. In addition to my leadership roles in school and on jobs, I also hold a leadership role in my church where I serve the Praise Team Leader. I mention these positions to show that I have had ample experience in working with people, which will definitely benefit me in my future profession as an educator. After I complete my BA degree, I plan to work on my MA degree.
