28 years of experience in photography/video production/cinematography, with 11 years spent performing complex communications activities for a Federal Government Agency. Strong media and communication professional skilled in Media Relations, Strategic Communications, Public Affairs, Social Media, and Information & Education. My experience covers all aspects of communications, from stills photography/video production/digital cinematography, web design and social media management. Part of my duties included public information and outreach, as well as creating press releases and briefing statements. I worked to train other Public Information Officers in emergency management and working with the media. I had the opportunity to film and interview famous race drivers, around the world. I've filmed in every possible environment known to man, from triple digit desert to sub zero temps beyond the Arctic Circle. I filmed and interviewed State elected officials including the Governor, Attorneys General, and various agency Secretaries. I worked on very sensitive and personal projects, such as culturally relevant adoption, teen pregnancy, and underage drunk driving. The teen pregnancy and drunk driving projects were used across the state as part of high school curriculum. Later an adult drunk driving video was produced that was used nationwide. At the federal level, I worked on hundreds of projects over 11 years. I got to film Grizzly Bears in Canada, I survived the filming of the first "wild born" Condor chick in the mountains north of LA. I worked on multiple Endangered Species projects, the federal wolf recovery program, Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee, and three trips to the Salton Sea to document endangered species losses due to disease outbreaks. I've had the opportunity to follow and film two different Secretaries of Department of Interior while touring the Northwest. My footage has aired on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN , as well as most of the regional TV stations in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.I'm looking for an opportunity to use my skills in cinematography and communications to assist and enhance the needs of a public agency. I am fully confident in my abilities and experience, and won't disappoint. My job is to make the organization look good!
