Sep 2018 - Jun 2020. 389-bed, full-service Level 2 Trauma/Stroke Center with 42 ER beds.Leader of 105+ staff as well as additional employees across the health system, which included two surgical centers and an Outpatient Imaging Center. Directly reporting to the Vice Present of Operations and indirectly to the Radiology Medical Director and Chief Operations Officer. In this role, I collaborated with other directors, the CFO and CEO in leading the Radiology Department at the largest hospital in Ventura County. Played an active role in directing financial management, continuous quality improvement and patient/employee satisfaction, and strategic planning. Managed a multi-layered cross functional department analysis of administrative workflow, policies, procedures, practices, and cost-benefit investigations. Led project planning, budgeting, and program implementation of a $110M new Radiology department and ED expansion. Started in Jan-2019, stalled in March 2020 due to pandemic, two months before “go live.” Established and controlled deadlines, budgets and activities while reducing construction costs by $1.2M+ and multiple equipment upgrades. Successfully passed both RHB CDPH and Joint Commission certifications and ACR Accreditations. Met and maintained eight departments within radiology’s productivity metric staffing budgets. Interchanged Fee Per Service Physicist contract to bundle contract. Saved organization over $210k/year. Decreased ED-CT average TAT by 26%. 3rd lowest out of 123 HCA hospitals with over 1K ED-CT patients per month. In this role, collaborated with the CFO and the CEO in leading the Radiology Department with five clinical campuses and three correctional facilities. I also support project management for the Country Health System imaging service lines and construction. Responsible for financial management, employee and patient satisfaction, and quality outcomes.  Led the planning, budgeting, and program implementation of a $5.3M Cardiac Cath lab. Introduced a Units of Service productivity tracker that led to a positive 3.01 FTE variance. Reduced capital purchases by $2.7M+ and increased outpatient access 48%. Participated in planning and design of a new 230K sq. ft, three-story, 15-acre office building.
