Job duties included level 3 and 4 production support for live site issues. Deploying RHEL5/6, OEL7.x, Ubuntu16.x bare metal servers, as well as deployed U16.x and RHEL6.x to Openstack hypervisors, and VM’s. Deployed ESXi to VMWare servers, and RHEL5/6 to VMWare VM’s. Openstack management of hypervisors, VM,s and supporting infrastructure. 100’s of server migrations to various datacenters. Managed puppet master/agent deployments. Hosts used puppet agents locally to pull puppet configs from master servers to stay updated with current customer based configurations (sudo, NFS, host access, etc…). Several thousand servers in this environment. Strong troubleshooting skillset required for daily break/fix issues. - Started as level 1 member of an 8 member team that managed over 1000 servers. Duties included application deployment, project management and customer interfacing on projects/systems performance. Environment consisted of Solaris 2.x/1.x, AIX 4.x/5.x, RedHat RHEL 3 servers utilizing EMC SAN, and NetApp NAS solutions. - Progressed to level 2 member as the team and environment grew. This provided more technical responsibilities within the local group, as well as providing escalation support for 24/7 teams, and global site teams. Started managing the Live Upgrade project for upgrading ~200 Solaris 2.6/7 production hosts to Solaris 9. - Progressed to level 3 member within a 16 member team that was now providing support for over 3000 servers.
