Southern Farming Systems (SFS) was formed in 1995 by a group of farmers who came together to find ways of making farming in the higher rainfall zone (HRZ) more profitable. SFS has nearly 500 members in five branches; Geelong, Streatham, Hamilton, Gippsland and Tasmania. While SFS maintains strong partnerships with research and extension agencies and with agribusiness, the information provided to members is highly valued for its quality and independence. The purpose of the Business Services Manager role is twofold: 1. To support SFS’ core business activities by overseeing the efficient operation and management of the communications, finance and administration functions of the business. 2. To have responsibility for managing our NLP Smart Farming Partnership project ‘Building the resilience and profitability of cropping and grazing farmers in the high rainfall zone of Southern Australia’

The Land Health Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the land health program through: direct program/project delivery, development and maintenance of key strategic partnerships and relationships, and through leadership and management of the land health team. A key objective of this position is to broker knowledge on all aspects of the Land Health Program.This is a key leadership role within the organisation and, in addition to delivery of the Land Health program, it contributes to organisation or department wide objectives.As the land health specialist for the CMA, this position partners effectively with our biodiversity conservation and river health functions to plan and implement sustainable agricultural and conservation outcomes.
