Longtime customer turned crew member at the downtown Austin Trader Joe's while preparing for certification as a high school math teacher. (Enjoyed the unanticipated side benefit that lifting, twisting, moving and standing for 7.5 hours a shift really can undo 35 years of working at a desk!)

Led a team of customer success warriors to help our clients achieve tangible results through deploying and using Vyopta's collaboration analytics platform. Vyopta provides a "single pane of glass" to monitor and improve the performance of video/collaboration networks. Key responsibilities and accomplishments:• Engaged with key accounts to keep customer retention above 90% during a period of explosive growth• Implemented Zendesk for request tracking and integrated it with Salesforce and JIRA• Initiated NPS (Net Promoter Score -- Vyopta maintained a score in the 40-60 range) and other customer satisfaction metrics to better understand our customers' needs• Led the recruitment effort to double the size of the Customer Success team.• Handled responses to all vendor security evaluations and obtained approvals for Vyopta's cloud solution.

Invested a year in exploration, listening, and waiting to determine our next steps. During that year, we:• Traveled to Turkey to work with the Haven of Hope International (http://www.havenofhopeinternational.org) team ministering to married missionary couples, and helped create a new version of the resources used by Haven of Hope on marriage intensives• Hosted an Art of Marriage® event organized by dear friends in Stavanger, Norway• Returned to Hungary to encourage and be encouraged by the continuing growth of The Art of Marriage there• Hiked over 200 miles and earned our Junior Ranger badges in Yellowstone National Park while working at the front desk of one of the lodges• Served weekly as a volunteer interpretive ranger at the West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park.

My wife, Elizabeth, and I worked to initiate, encourage, and equip marriage and family ministry throughout Central/Eastern Europe. A key initiative was the translation and localization of The Art of Marriage®, a video resource which I helped launch in the US. During our time overseas, the Albanian, Croatian, Hungarian and Romanian versions were completed and launched, and work was begun on Polish and Russian versions as well.

Elizabeth and I were called to join the mission staff at FamilyLife (http://www.familylife.com), a ministry aimed at helping develop godly marriages and families who change the world, one home at a time. My initial role was to work with the senior leadership team on special projects to expand the reach of our ministry, foremost among them the launch of The Art of Marriage®, a video-based event aimed at equipping churches and individuals to minister to the marriages around them. That led to a series of roles involving program management and marketing direction for The Art of Marriage over the next two years, during which time approximately 5,000 empowered, passionate marriage enthusiasts hosted events attended by more than 250,000 guests.

Managed a large team of developers on multiple platforms in support of equipment rental business. Solutions ranged from enterprise transaction processing to departmental web applications to field service on handheld devices.
