Directed human intelligence gathering operations to secure and protect U.S. military members in an austere operating location.

I supervised 15 special agents to investigate felony-level criminal investigations and counterintelligence operations to protect USAF personnel in and around Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. Primary mission set was to conduct timely and sufficient criminal investigations focused on major crimes to include sexual assault, aggravated assault, child sexual and physical abuse, illegal narcotics distribution, and other serious crimes. Additionally, Det 201 had the responsibility to provide counterintelligence support to force protection, which entailed close coordination with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and other state and local LE partner organizations.

As a member of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, I supervised and led the personal security detail responsible to protect the Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF) from criminal and terrorist threats in support of his role as the highest ranking military member of the U.S. Air Force. Conducted over 500 protective security operations and led 20+ sworn federal agents and Security Forces members in a worldwide effort to safely transport and protect the CSAF in a wide variety of challenging and dynamic environments.
