SUMMARY: Interfaced with client management, lead engineers and vendors to define system requirements, priorities, and improvement recommendations. Provided software implementation, customization and support services.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Developed technical workshops, work process documentation and a web based FAQ.RESULTS: The client’s productivity with Teamcenter Engineering (PLM system) and NX (parametric modeler) was increased by approximately 10%.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Moved a team of engineers from Unix workstations/software to windows workstations/software. This activity included migrating all design and metadata to a new database.RESULTS: The client realized a 20% performance increase with the software tool. Database check-in and check-out times improved by approximately 23X.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Analyzed and resolved metadata issues in ten large PDM installations so that the client’s data could be migrated to a single Teamcenter Engineering database.RESULTS: The client’s ability to share and reuse design/engineering data was drastically improved resulting in a reduction in design time and cost.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Programmed and automated diagnostic software for monitoring the health of the client’s PDM system.RESULTS: By proactively scanning for and correcting database issues, the client was able to avoid database corruptions that would have resulted in considerable lost productivity.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Resolved data sharing issues between the client and their extended enterprise partners by using knowledge of translators and 3D CAD healing software.RESULTS: By resolving translation issues, costly delays in design cycle times were reduced.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Planned and implemented a web-based data translation server, enabling rapid exchange of client’s engineering data throughout the corporation.RESULTS: Translation quality and success rate was improved. Multiple translator licenses eliminated.

SUMMARY: Supplied second-tier CAD/CAM support services to a team of on-site application specialists. Provided software implementation, customization and administration services.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Evaluated more than 3500 CAD models for the client’s Model Quality initiative. A root cause analysis of geometry errors was performed and documented.RESULTS: This project led to improved CAD model quality, benefiting downstream applications.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Developed and implemented an intranet-based database for tracking customer’s CAD, CAM, CAE and PDM related issues. Enabled “real-time” metrics and prioritization of customer’s issues.RESULTS: The issue-tracking database was used to facilitate improvements in software quality.

SUMMARY: Provided technical software support/consulting/training to Intergraph customers including: Mobil Chemical, Gleason Corporation, Xerox, Moore Research, Fuji-Xerox Corporation, General Railway Signal and Kodak.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Conducted CAD/CAM/CAE software demonstrations, benchmarks and seminars.RESULTS: Generated more than $700,000 in hardware and software sales in 1994.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Provided on-site support to Fuji-Xerox Corporation in Ebina, Japan during a critical phase of a large software implementation. Worked closely with developers in the USA and India to resolve issues.RESULTS: Improved quality and usage of the software therefore improving the client’s productivity.
