I began work as a layout artist, camera operator and illustrator. As graphic design phased over into computers almost twenty years ago, I made the jump with our first Mac, designing and laying out traditional marketing materials for print. As the years progressed and the Internet and specifically the web emerged, I learned design for the web as well as basic HTML programming language for web development.As a designer and creative director, my attention has primarily been focused around the ultimate effect of the solutions I design, the end user experience, whether for printed pieces, software design or online presences. Will it get their attention? Will it create the most desirable impression? Will the message get across easily? Will it get the intended audience out of their seat, doing what my client wants them to do/buy/think?Those are some of the guiding points I've used to conceive, manage and create marketing solutions that have a much greater chance for success than something merely pretty or flashy.
