In my Assistant GM position I am responsible for a variety of things including, but not limited to; paper work associated with new hires, balancing the books on a daily basis, making staff schedules, mentoring staff, interacting with customers and solving any issues they may have.

In 2010 I started as a host/busser and quickly worked my way through every side of the restaurant industry. I washed dishes, worked the ice cream stand, prep cooked all within the first two years. In 2012 I started to server, and bartending as soon as I turned 18. In January of 2014, my general manager asked me to become part of the management team, as well as be one of two lead servers. In my day to day activities I am primarily a server that also conducts manager’s duties at the same time. I am responsible for handling any situations that may arise between co-workers or with a customer, counting all the money at the end of the day, making sure everyone has done their side work properly, as well as closing the restaurant and setting the alarm.

I was responsible for a wide range of duties including prepping lunch, serving lunch, taking students tickets, and washing dishes. My schedule always had a study hall either right before or after which allowed me to use that time to help out as well.
