I love powerful quotes! Quotes that inspire, uplift, motivate, encourage, and even correct us. Quotes such as “Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least.”–Johann Wolfgang von Goethe or “Nothing is particularly hard if you break it down into small jobs”–Henry Ford. With so many challenges in the world, I believe the need for more goodness in our world has never been greater. I think that need is one of my driving motivations and desires to help people!Information Technology (IT) is tough because it can be very complex, covers so many facets, and changes on a daily (sometimes minute by minute) basis. I’ve heard that working with an IT person is tough because they feel like they communicate in a different language, so it is frustrating for them. That motivates me to change the stereotype of the typical “IT Geek”. Because I love helping people, and I love technology, I am blessed to have a love talking to people to find out what they need and convert their business needs into technology solutions to make their jobs or life better! If I can understand company or individual needs, it's exciting to come up with solutions that not only fill that gap, but help make the company or their job better. For the last 25+ years I have worked for or consulted with companies from Fortune 100, Government, Education to Small Business and everything in between. I’ve been fortunate to have jobs from a Workstation Specialist to CTO & CIO to President of a IT Consulting and Products company. This unique experience has helped me realize that IT (systems, software, hardware, networks, etc.) is just a tool, and not the objective. The aim is to help the business with their mission and values, and to help on an individual level to achieve more than they could without the tool we call IT. Helping people is what it's all about!
