My career path is somewhat unusual, thanks in part to COVID-19. I had every intention to pursue an analyst career in Europe following my fixed role as an English language teacher. Fortunately, the world had different plans, and I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to return to Aotearoa and upskill my IT knowledge base. Having returned home, I have once again found a love for the untamed beauty of the South Island, and wish to stay and grow my career in Otago. I chose analytics as a career path because I am passionate about sustainability and wish to combine my love of rural spaces with a modern career pathway. My personal objective is to setup a remote working hub in rural Otago, where I can pursue my love of the outdoors and career objectives simultaneously with like minded people.In the long run, I am searching for a flexible role in business that will one day cater to full time remote work. My current objective is to gain experience in an on site role to soak up the atmosphere and grow into a role, preferably within an organisation that shares the same outlook for the future.
