As Regional Manager, develop and lead a high performing team to execute the strategic and operational plans as approved by the Board, in partnership with Council, for each of the aquatic leisure facilities and meeting all agreed financial targets and KPIs.

Manage all operations of one of Sydney's largest leisure venues. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope has over 170 employees with close to a million visitors each year. It boasts and an aquatic facility including western Sydney's first wave pool, Gymnasium, multiple function rooms, 4x court multipurpose sports and events facility and the newly added 16 tennis court facility with the capacity to hold major tennis tournaments.

• Full responsibility for the day to day running of the Club• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities• Through inspired leadership, direct the Operations team to deliver five-star, member obsessed service and maintain the venue to the high standard expected of the clients.• Drive the David Lloyd Brand Standards and values; Teamwork, Excellence, Member Focused, Passion, Integrity, and Inspiration• Oversee all planned maintenance programming including HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, Lifts, etc.• Manage performance of suppliers including contracted cleaning team, laundry services and café

• Drive the Places-to-Play vision of servicing tennis communities with the best planned, managed and sustained places to play ANY sport or recreation activity.• Maintain, develop and improve relationships with State and Local Government and other key organisations ensuring improved investment in tennis facilities in NSW.• Work with Local Government, clubs and schools on locally based tennis strategies to provide consistent delivery of community service and best practice management.• Implement existing and new club development programs and resources in particular best practice guidelines, business plans and QA programs.• Provide Councils with detailed reports including proposals for the management of tennis venues, the development of master plans, condition assessment reports and asset plans.• Manage, update and implement the Asset Plan for the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre – an 18-court venue with function rooms, gym, administration building, 10,000 seat stadium, museum and ancillary facilities.• Facility Manager during the Sydney International (Aust. Open lead up event – an event with 100,000 spectators and many volunteers, contractors, officials and players) overseeing work place health and safety and functionality of the venue in the bump-in and during the event.• WH&S Chairperson for Tennis NSW and Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre, as well as provide direction to affiliate clubs and Local Government Authorities on risk and safety.

• Establish and implement individual business plans for each area within the Leisure Venues Unit (8xAquatic facilities, Major Sports Stadium – capacity 12,000 and Caravan/Camping Grounds).• Research and implement strategies for the development and optimisation of performance of each facility, including (but not limited to) relevant capital developments, grant and subsidy opportunities and innovative programming and marketing opportunities available to Council.• Manage and support staff (including turf & maintenance team) building team moral and guiding professional development.• Manage relationships with clubs, co-ordinating the draws to the accessibility of the major venue. • Balance the management of all facilities with a community focus but in a financially sustainable and commercially viable manner.• Project manage cultural and sporting events based on the clients requirements.• Work across multiple departments (including Community Development, Finance and Property) within Council and holding community consultation to address issues and garner feedback.• Provide reports to Council on a monthly basis reporting on key performance measures in addition to reports into projects, proposals for events, funding and alternate use requests for venues.

• Team leadership: leading a team of five ensuring deadlines were met, that there development needs were met and that we are providing an excellent service to our stakeholders (both internal and external) nationwide.• Reconciling accounts: reconciling monthly stocktakes for field force, balancing stock levels to general ledger accounts (over $25million dollar accounts.) • Providing detailed financial reports: sending out reports on a monthly basis outlining stock levels, discrepancies and losses. Reports go out to senior management at BAT.• Support for field force and stock controllers: fix problems and provide information to sales reps and warehouse based stock controllers to aid them in completing their jobs accurately and efficiently.
