Behind every individual, is someone who is passionate about something. Passion cannot be taught or learned, passion cannot be faked or manipulated, but passion can be hard to find. Lucky for me, I found my passion at a young age. Remember when you were a kid, and your parents took you to work on "bring your child to work day"? Well, I remember this experience like it was yesterday. And throughout this moment in my life, I learned a few things. I love the City of Chicago, I love good food, and I love people (and strangely enough, I have a love for numbers, but this was found out later). Every day, I focus on how I can utilize my passion to better my work experience and the people I have the opportunity to interact with. My passion for the City of Chicago provided me with a world class education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My passion for good food allows me the opportunity to be creative and bring flavor to the people around me. However, my passion for people and numbers is really where I thrive. Today, I work for the University of Illinois at Chicago as their Affiliate Housing Coordinator for the Campus Housing Department. While working for the University as both a student and professional staff member, I had the privilege to utilize my many passions and greatly impact the body of people around me. Tomorrow, I hope the flame of my passion shines brighter than the day before.
