Brett Beynon is a SVP of Brand and Marketing at Diversify Advisor Network. He possess expertise in graphic design, typography, art direction, adobe creative suite, interaction design and 45 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Brett is the absolute best designer & creative leader I have the fortune of knowing. I’ve never worked with someone who has such tremendous vision and can also magically and efficiently bring that vision to life. Brett built (and owns) the PocketRN brand from scratch. Our beautifully designed website, product, & brand only exist because of Brett (pocketrn.com). It’s his baby. To effectively serve our users, which include older adults, families, and nurses, our product had to be dead simple and easy-to-use. Brett created an elegant, one-touch UI, that imbued confidence in even our most tech-averse users to seek regular care on our platform. Our patient engagement exceeded 90% (unheard of in our world) and we have Brett’s empowering designs to thank for that. In demos, prospects always compliment the platform’s simplicity and elegance, which one noted was at a level “never seen before in healthcare”. For someone who, given his talents, could have a huge ego, Brett has none. He respects and listens to all ideas, no matter where they come from. For every design process, Brett masterfully coordinated stakeholders, presented options, took feedback, iterated, and guided us to a result that exceeded all expectations. He takes on jobs big and small with grace: from designing feature sets like the patient login flow, to our logo, to a PocketRN onesie for teammates expecting babies. Brett also created a design system for our marketing materials that 10xed our ability to follow up with sales prospects. His contributions to our success and culture are simply too many to list. Brett goes above & beyond to create inclusive design, including running an extensive, thoughtful process to optimize the flow for entering gender info. This involved engaging internal leaders/DEI ambassadors, external DEI advisors, users, and clinicians. It resulted in the most inclusive flow we and external advisors have experienced in healthcare. It took months and countless iterations to get to a final decision on just one wireframe, which highlights Brett’s commitment to a brand where everyone feels they can bring their full self, and thus get the best care for them. We’ve all worked with designers who sometimes miss the mark on functionality, user-centricity, or visual appeal. Not Brett. I never saw a design from Brett that didn’t make me really feel something. Brett creates designs that people connect to, that are deep and grow in their meaning over time, and that delight everyone. In a startup, there are many ups and downs. Brett was always a steady hand and voice for our team during tough times. When Brett spoke, people listened. Even more so than they listened to leadership in those moments. His comments often steered us back on course. He is the kind of person you want on your team, always, because that resilience and equanimity is the most valuable asset a startup CEO can ask for. I hope, and would consider myself lucky, to be on Brett’s team over and over in my lifetime." and "Brett is, without a doubt, the best designer I have ever had the privilege of working with. Our product offering at PocketRN is challenging. We have many highly differing constituents—from nurses, to enterprise customers, elderly patients, and family caregivers. Despite this, Brett created a brand and product experience that was consistent for all user types. We also had a particularly complex product: as a virtual healthcare company, there were legal consenting, data privacy, and patient activation scenarios that had to be accounted for. Brett time and time again created user experiences that were straightforward and flexible. Our particular niche in the healthcare ecosystem requires a unique understanding of the user and client needs. Brett always actively sought after and listened to feedback and embraced iterative user-centric design. Our brand and product is only successful because of the vision and talents of Brett. He is worth his weight in gold and I would do anything to work with him again when the opportunity presents itself."
