The accounting technician position supports the financial services and project delivery teams within Pinyon Environmental. Tasks range between accounts receivables, audits of client payments to the City and County of Denver, project setups, along with other responsibilities. This position requires strong interpersonal skills in order to complete a variety of tasks from project managers on short deadlines.

As a manager, my responsibilities have expanded to overseeing the productivity of the store. These duties include overseeing employee performance, customer satisfaction, store cleanliness, tracking inventory, and many more. I also run my own shifts to open the store to make sure it is ready for the day ahead and also closing shifts to make sure we are ready for the next. Communication is also critical when interacting with employees and management.

As a team member, my shift includes many tasks that would help towards the end goal of delivering the customer's requested meal. The many tasks include making the custom pizza while interacting with the customers, using the POS system on the register with handling cash transactions, ensuring the cleanliness of the dining lobby, and cleaning all the dishes to make sure we can fulfill the demand for the current day as well as for the future.

During this internship, I worked within the Internal Audit department and helped to accomplish their goals. I worked on an audit and participated in a walk-through, performed testing, and assisted with conclusions and issue sheets. I helped out on other administrative projects using Excel and PowerPoint and ACL software.

At this position, duties would vary depending on my shift. Depending on the shift, I would work concessions, usher, door, or the box office. Each role required to perform a high quality of customer service and working at a fast pace. I often worked the many closing shifts.

I performed the customer service side of the shifts. My role consisted of taking customers orders (either in the lobby or drive thru), keeping the lobby clean, prepping food, and doing the dishes. I also frequently worked the closing shifts and made sure everything was ready for the next day.
