Beach is a rapidly growing offshore and onshore oil and gas producer in Australia and New Zealand with multiple offshore facilities and onshore oil and gas plants. Reporting to the CEO, I have built and am required sustain and manage the organisation’s capability to address all levels of business and operational risk and to drive and deliver HSE strategy and performance. I am required to develop, drive and implement the governance framework, management system, goals and interventions to ensure the company’s Health, Safety (personal and process) and Environment policy and objectives are achieved. I have corporate responsibility for personal and process safety, environment, regulatory compliance, emissions reporting, occupational health, security, emergency response and business continuity and technical assurance.

Responsible for all HSSE deliverables required for the construction, commissioning and operationsreadiness phases for the Ichthys Project.

Group Executive of Safety, Health, Environment, Security and Emergency Services for large Middle Eastern LNG company, includes corporate responsibly for these functions across subsurface/drilling, new ventures and operations groups. A Chartered engineer and manager with 26 years post-graduate experience predominantly in oil and gas industry.

Responsible for delivering business performance for all utilities including LNG, LPG and condensate storage and loading, power generation, laboratory, DCS and Safety Shutdown Systems etc.

Responsible for delivering business performance for the LNG plant. Specific duties included:• oversight through Head of Operations of 4 shift supervisors and 70 panel/field personnel;• oversight through Head of Process Engineering of 20 process engineers;• oversight through Head of Shutdowns of 6 permanent staff and 3000 contractors;• supervision of two production engineers and their production support and optimisation activities including identification of debottlenecking opportunities;• setting and managing annual operating and capital work program and budget, taking account of risk, opportunity and economic benefit;• rolling 5-year manning strategy for existing 3 and 4 new LNG trains, optimised through international benchmarking;• overseeing commissioning, development and implementation of operational and maintenance staffing strategy for a new Helium plant (world’s second largest);• all aspects of personnel management including recruitment, appraisals, training & development (competency-based and professional);• setting and stewarding corporate performance against plant safety, environmental, reliability, availability and utilisation objectives;• responsibility in meeting operating permit and regulatory requirements• implementation of ExxonMobil’s asset management system for RasGas• deputising as Operations Manager

Responsible for coordination and guidance of multidisciplinary team of professional engineers including mechanical/structural, electrical, instrument/control and pipelines engineers to support Operations and technical review function for the larger Expansion organisation. Specific duties included:• the setting, implementation of and ensuring adherence to engineering standards;• stewardship of facility changes and change control processes to ensure changes receive appropriate engineering review;• instigation of incident investigations and furnishing of technical reports;• instigation of facility de-bottlenecking studies/reviews and implementation of recommendations from these and other studies conducted by Process and Maintenance teams;• ensuring team review of consultants’ project design deliverables;• deputising as Engineering Manager.

Responsible for delivering business performance for assets including LPG plant, gas processing and compression facilities, transmission pipelines, and oil & gas gathering systems and wellheads. Specific duties included:• supervision of all field personnel; Field Superintendents and their subordinates in the maintenance and production (surface and downhole) aspects of operations• supervision of production engineers and their production support activities• setting and managing annual operating and capital work programmes and budgets for the area, taking account of risk and opportunityConcurrently, responsible as Project Manager, for the Scotia CBM Gas Field development in South East Queensland. Specific duties included:• responsible for overall schedule and budget, based on contracted gas delivery date to customer• ensuring the following projects and their respective project leaders, achieve their objectives:o gas processing facility and gathering system- delivering processing capacity at appropriate technical standardo seismic/appraisal - location of wells and proving up of relevant reserveso gas development - successful drilling, stimulation and completion of required wells

Responsible for coordination and guidance of multidisciplinary team of professional engineers including mechanical/structural, electrical, instrument/control and pipelines engineers to support Operations and Projects groups.Duties were similar to the Rasgas position and additionally included development, promotion and custodianship of an electronic change management system, which became the corporate standard;

Responsible for overall site management and co-ordination of all site personnel and operations associated with fields, facilities and activities. Specific duties included:• organisation, motivation and optimisation of field labour force including production, maintenance and construction personnel (>300 at times)• ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate standards regarding facility safety, environmental and integrity.• ensuring production, operating and capital budgets are met, including identification of opportunities and implementation of strategies to achieve greater production and reductions in operating and capital costs• representing company in IR matters and issues relating to landowners (including traditional owners)

Responsible for Operations support and project design approval and commissioning. Specific duties included:• commissioning of control system (TDC3000 DCS), Fire and Gas/shutdown system (Triconex) for Ballera Gas Facility• setting of discipline engineering standards across business unit• discipline representation on project HAZOP reviews• mentoring of discipline engineers
