Support When You Need It MostI’ve worked as a senior executive in state and local government, community organisations and small business in areas as diverse as emergency management, public safety, environmental management, risk management and societal resilience.During a 30-year career I’ve held strategic planning, culture change and operational roles in organisations tasked with supporting communities and implementing major change management programs. As a result of working in disaster management with local government and Emergency Management Victoria, I’ve been able to lead a number of reform initiatives that have informed state, national and international disaster and resilience policies and frameworks.I’ve had oversight of local and state relief and recovery efforts and had frontline roles during disasters such as Victoria’s Black Saturday Bushfires. I’ve also supported community recovery planning after the Black Summer Bushfires and the 2021 Victorian storm and floods in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. These events have helped shape the approach I take to community resilience building and given me a deep operational understanding of the impacts and consequences of disasters. It’s this experience that I bring to ResilientCo as the Managing Director.ResilientCo has a team of local and global experts that work across areas including climate change, disaster and emergency management, risk management, sustainability, climate resilience and strategic communication. How we work with clients matters just as much as why we do. Alongside the business of ResilientCo, we're also developing and supporting a community resilience building charity called The Resilience Canopy. We’re keen to make a difference, in the right way.
