Registered Professional Biologist with 10+ years of environmental consulting and non-profit experience on projects throughout western Canada. Proficient in the technical design, planning and implementation of environmental projects, from physical and biological data collection to data analysis and reporting. Motivated and dedicated team player that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Areas of expertise include: - Aquatic resources, including: limnology, fish and fish habitat assessments, riparian assessments, benthic invertebrate sampling, and water quality expertise.- Wildlife services, including: breeding bird surveys, pileated woodpecker cavity surveys, biophysical inventories, fish and wildlife salvage plans and wildlife habitat assessments.- Municipal, provincial and federal regulatory approvals and permitting.- Liaising with clients, indigenous nations, (municipal, provincial and federal) regulators, contractors and volunteers.- Managing team projects from design to completion, while mentoring and coordinating junior staff.- Extensive field skills and experience.Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Marine and freshwater biology major) from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science degree (Paleolimnology major) from Queen's University.
