I was fortunate to be an original & key team member in the launch and growth of the revolutionary Sirius Satellite Radio service at retail. One of the most gratifying experiences of my career was going to a small start-up, Mohu. It was an exciting opportunity with LONG odds. Here is the story:As VP of Sales, I took 20 years of accomplishment, relationships and a leap of faith to Mohu, a small CE startup manufacturing HDTV antennas. 90% of sales came from e-commerce when I took the helm. I cast my vision, focusing on 4 KEY objectives with single minded intention:1) Earn placement in Best Buy2) Add SKUS at Walmart & reverse mistakes by previous management.3) Win Amazon private label antenna business4) Grow unit sales to 1M units a year. ( Mohu sold 200k units the year I arrived) The Results: - MOHU product placed in ALL Best Buy stores, increasing MOHU's revenue by 25%. Developed Mohu into Best Buy’s top selling antenna brand. - MOHU tripled placement & increased retail sell through 362% at Walmart. - MOHU awarded Amazon Basics private label antenna business after 2 yr. negotiation. Visionary strategic move replacing revenue lost from flagging branded business. - MOHU became a top 3 Share Player in HDTV Antenna space. TRIPLED MOHU's revenue from $7M to $23M in less than 3 years & grew unit sales from 200K to 1M units.
