As Senior Vice President Technology and Business Process, leads the Technology strategy and operations for the overall GroupHEALTH family of companies (FoC). With the goal of transforming, unifying and futureproofing the existing application platforms with the vision of the supporting and enhancing the overall FoC. Also with a strong emphasis on business improvement aimed at delivery industry leading business processes. These key priorities also rely on a focus on efficient delivery and support teams with an innovative culture focused on providing exceptional products and services. A few key accomplishments include: • Led and executed company’s first talent management review and delivered talent strategy to senior executive team and divisional leaders. This included setting up foundation for future years and sustainability around talent improvement, hiring and attrition prevention.• Led, and executive sponsored, the discovery, design and implementation of the core contract operating application for the family of companies. This included: business improvement discovery of existing systems and processes; working with stakeholders to understand current and future needs; and engaging proper project management and development practices to work towards a sustainable and scalable solutions.• Crafted and delivered core technology short and long term strategy for the family of companies. This included addressing technical debt, core talent focus, security roadmap, operational improvements and ensuring application and infrastructure planning follows best practices.

The role was to lead the Technology strategy and operations for the overall GroupHEALTH family of companies. Building a world class delivery and support team with an innovative culture focused on delivering exceptional products and services. Responsiblities include all aspects of the technology stack; from application development, project management and infrastructure. Included in the mandate was forming a cohesive strategy around unifying the six companies under one common technology platform; reviewing and creating a new structure for the technology team and providing vision on the future landscape for the core in-house applications. Included in this mandate was a key focus around improving the overall technology security posture with an eye on privacy and secure personal data. Select key accomplishments included:• Leader of company-wide Business Improvement program, this includes: setting up BI team, identifying core business units to work with, and using BI methodology to do process re-engineering. Successes to date include Business Renewals process.• One Company – One Desktop: Since arriving at the companies, the entire desktop platform has been modernized to one common desktop experience with centralized management and helpdesk services. This move has eliminated all legacy email systems, antiquated patch management and has modernized the core productivity suite for all employees.• Core Security Posture Overhaul: GroupHealth’s security posture prior to my arrival was based mostly around a mixture of small business and consumer grade security and networking appliances and with a varied mix of anti-malware practices. As part of the first initiatives to be undertaken were the move to Enterprise grade appliances, one common strategy around anti-malware and a hardening of the core VPN abilities. As well, security training and testing was put into place for all employees.

Created HCG Inc. to support clients with their technology leadership needs. Specializing in strategic planning, operational efficiency, new technology adoptions and executive alignment.With a focus on financial services, recent work has been helping businesses craft strategies around shifting from traditional technology approaches to that of emerging tech and the broader fintech approach.

Took over leadership of the global Innovation portfolio for the implementations of new technology across all of New Gold's mining operations.Key Successes:- Created, chaired and led the New Gold Innovation Council, that successfully delivered increased operational effectiveness while realizing over 60 million US$ in savings company wide in the first 12 months.- Led the consolidation project that reduced the company's corporate presence from 4 offices in 3 cities to 1 purpose built location in Toronto. This project was delivered ahead of schedule and 10% under budget.- Created the "grassroots" innovation project that focused on business improvement using technology at the companies operations. This project continues today to inspire New Gold employees to work hand and hand with its technology team to conquer inefficiencies in operations.- Active member in the Canadian Mining Innovation Council (CMIC), a leading organization impacting new technology adoption in the industry.

Strategic technology leader and company officer running the global information technology department.Key projects include:- Transforming ERP platform (SAP) and team from a fragmented and under-utilized system to a key business and operations tool.- Centralized service delivery structure, including: helpdesk, common productivity toolsets, telephony, mobile work environment to name a few.- Upgrading and securing mill processing systems for key operations. This included system integrity, security, and redundancy for process control systems.- Fleet management system implementation.- Multi-million remote communications infrastructure procurement, project management and delivery. These projects ( for 2 different mines) included remote mountaintop tower builds, provincial and federal permitting and local relationship management.- Successful company wide cyber security initiative. Including board approved strategy, regularly externally audited practices and ever increasing tightened posture.

After the merger of 4 companies into 1 (and subsequent 2 acquisitions), led the transformation of New Gold's Information Technology from the previous unique company infrastructures into one global environment.Built the global IT service delivery teams for all sites and corporate.
