– Have deployed on 18 natural disaster/outbreak response or recovery operations in various roles.– Planned, organized, and executed:o One flooding response operation; 2 weeks as Incident Commander running Operations & Planning, managing 30 volunteers & 50 spontaneous volunteers, completing 12 work orders of muck-out operations & debris removal.o One flooding response operation; <1 week as OSC/PSC managing 15 TR volunteers and 100+ spontaneous volunteers, completing 7 work orders of muck-out operations & debris removal.o One tornado response operation; 2 weeks as OSC managing 25 volunteers and completing 41 work orders of expedient home repair and debris removal. First operation to help create and implement COVID-19 guidelines for TR volunteers in natural disaster operations.o One COVID-19 response operation; 6 weeks as OSC managing 30+ volunteers completing 20 work orders ranging from COVID-19 positive sheltering, food delivery, to urgent PPE distribution.o One wildfire mitigation operation; 1 week as OSC/PSC managing 18 volunteers split into sawyer and heavy equipment teams.– Executed demobilization plans, AARs, and “Lessons Learned,” at end of operations.

– Managed 10 volunteers conducting 120+ damage assessments and corresponding casework for the June 2020 Fayette County floods.– Developed a time and geographic based schedule for DAT responders to be able to efficiently respond to disasters across 14 counties.– Created comprehensive real time lists of community partners and their services throughout West Virginia to allow DAT responders the ability to share vital community resources to survivors on scene.– Conducted interviewing/onboarding of new volunteers; pertaining to assigned trainings, walkthroughs/shadowing, expected responsibilities and schedule, etc.– Actively recruited new DAT responders throughout central and southern WV.

Greeley, Colorado

– Established a VOAD & Long-Term Recovery Group for Weld County.– Organized mobile events within the community to engage in disaster education via emergency kit building workshops, security assessments for local businesses and community centers, and analyses of organizational readiness/preparedness. – As volunteer coordinator, managed 35+ volunteers through the successful completion of a multi-event, full-scale disaster simulation to further train first responders and educate the public (150+ total participants) in disaster preparedness.– Created & published 2-1-1 CO website for all CO citizens to equitably obtain local help with food, housing, employment, health care, and other social services.
