Supervise drivers and warehouse staff and liaise with customers via email and telephone.Deal with and resolve queries with regard to vehicle breakdowns, customer requests, etc.Ensure uniform and safety PPE are worn at all timesMonitor and action any issues on staff performance relating to attendance, attitude, safety, work accuracy and speed of work.Perform any necessary disciplinary or investigations following advice and assistance from HR Department.To ensure return to work interviews are performedEnsure picking and loading schedules are maintained with loaded vehicles leaving the depot on time.Ensure all incoming goods are checked in accurately and located in the correct locations with any discrepancies being documented and reported and perform regular stock consolidations.Ensure the goods are loaded accurately and that the risk of errors and overloads are minimised.Ensure all work activities are performed as documented within the departments written procedures and are performed within the current health and safety guidelines.Ensure all staff and visitors employ safe working practices whilst on the premises and advise the Warehouse Manager of any unresolved health and safety issues.Ensure all accidents and any near misses are reported to the Warehouse Manager and recorded in the accident book.Recommend any changes to the procedures where there is an opportunity for improvement.Report all loading errors to Warehouse ManagerIdentify and report to the Warehouse manager any training needs of team members.Communicate to team members all team goals and any changes to procedures including instructions received from the Company's Senior Management or Directors.
