My social skills were greatly improved in this position for the following reasons: I was required to communicate and maintain a positive relationship with government organizations in both Canada and the USA by phone, email and during business meetings/inspections. I assisted the freight broker by negotiating rates, cold calling potential customers and ordering special permits for the vehicles.
