Member of the Exco, reporting directly to the CEO. Head a team of global specialists, collaborate with executives to set company strategy, direct M&A transactions, optimise the asset portfolio, lead strategic change, and develop models and tools to inform decision making.

Spearheaded the set up of the Far Southeast gold-copper project and the establishing of the Gold Fields Philippines Corp. Led and developed a team of >500 people and directed the set up of Finance, Technical, Community Development, Corporate Affairs, HR, Land Access, IT, Environment and Health and Safety department; and built Regulator relationships.

Appointed to conceive and deliver growth opportunities in the Asia/Pacific region. Led a growth team of 30 geologists, business development specialists and support staff. Successes included, 1) acquisition of royalty over Gold Fields St Ives gold mine (A$308M) (paid off in 48 months); 2) disposal of Sino Gold Ltd (US$313M), and 3) led strategic activities including growth in China and the Philippines.
