Responsible for Capital Projects involving utilities; Boilers, Ammonia compressors, Electric power distribution, Water, Natural gas and Waste water.Achieved approximately $2M in annual savings through conservation measures and process changes in seven manufacturing facilities.Also, assumed responsibilities of Corporate Electrical Engineer. This included upgrades to power distribution equipment and automation.

Responsible for capital projects at the USDA inspected Logan Beef Facility. This included engineering drawings, bid documents, payback calculations, budget and the presentation of the formal capital request.Provided technical assistance in the design and installation of process and facility upgrades. Solicited the necessary input from facility personnel and managed the project from inception to completion. Set the project priorities, managed the project timeline and coordinated the necessary changes during project implementation.The larger projects included: a 3,500 sq/ft grinding operation, a 4,000 sq/ft hide building expansion and a 25,000 sq/ft carcass cooler.Managed Environmental Engineer and Waste Water Supervisor.Familiar with most environmental regulations that concern an industrial facility. Negotiated with the State of Utah on a new waste water discharge permit.Continued to perform all Electrical Engineering duties.

Managed electrical department. Upgraded the facilities 46KV substation and maintained the facilities 12KV distribution lines and 480V distribution equipment.Programmed and installed SQ-D PLC’s and Intellution HMI.Familiar with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, driers, material handling and many other industrial processes.

Responsible for electrical installation on capital projects.Programmed Modicon PLC’s and IDT HMI.Assisted with the start-up of two new facilities (Waterloo Pork facility and Lexington Beef facility)Installed; power meters, fiber optic communication, PID controllers, power factor correction, flow meters, pressure transducers, high resistance ground equipment, SQ-D 3000A Bolt-Loc switches and Allen-Bradley Motor Control Center.
