The President role is a volunteer position. Responsible for forming and leading a regional committee that exists to help promote and grow the profession.We aim to build stronger, broader professional networks that help to share knowledge, experience, trends and best practices across the region.We also offer and facilitate formal mentoring between members and professionals in the industry, helping grow the capabilities of supply chain professionals across Australia.

Responsible for leading a team for commercial management and sourcing across all logistics, facilities management, catering and transport contracts totalling $200M p.a. spend. Preparing new sourcing strategies, negotiations and leading the commercial supply quality performance for life of contracts.

The Supply Chain Deployment Director is responsible for analysing the existing footprint of a region and formulating that region's Long Term Industrial and Strategic Plans. Helping create highly efficient and effective supply chains that improve the profitability and competitive advantages of our business.Once the long term plans are agreed, the Deployment Director is also responsible to form and lead the teams that make the transformations.I have successfully lead the analysis, prepared the strategy and obtained the support of international executive management stakeholders to approve the business cases for these transformations.Transferring New Zealand adaptation centre to Australia in 2016, with the integration of our Eagle Farm and Christchurch manufacturing plants into our Adelaide Gepps Cross plant during 2017 and 2018 respectively.We have leveraged new manufacturing systems and transport provider capabilities allowing adapted products to be provided from Australia into New Zealand markets with a reduction in lead time from previously 15, to now under 5 days.Site consolidations required some international transfers between Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines Thailand, Vietnam, China and India.The transformation program to date has been implemented on time and inside budget, with no significant disruption of supply to market.In parallel to transformations I have led the Quality Value Engineering responsibility for the region.We have invested in new technology at our remaining sites, aimed at digitising our end-2-end supply chains, helping us improve customer experience, whilst significantly decreasing our operational costs, reducing organisational complexity and ensuring a sustainable and relevant manufacturing footprint is retained.

As leader of the Industrialisation I took responsibility for the design, manufacture, commissioning and qualification of all new manufacturing systems related to new products developed in Australia and Shenzhen China.A complex department of 85 people across 3 sites. Adelaide Australia (20), Shenzhen China (20) and Huizhou China (45). Leading 8 diverse functions of Industrial Project Management, Tester Design, Tester Software Development, Quality Engineering, Moulding and Stamping Tool Engineering, Supply Chain Design, Product Cost Engineering and Tool Making.Over 6 years I led the industrialisation and qualification of lean manufacturing systems related to approximately 1200 products, 600 tools and 10 testers. Across factories in China, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.

This was my first experience leading a virtual team across cultures and geographies. The role was developed to enable us to implement the same quality methods and capabilities we had established in Pacific, across our Shenzhen design centre in China, which was achieved in under 2 years. I was also given extended responsibility for the qualification of all industrial transfers occurring throughout our 11 factories in 8 countries across Asia Pacific.The team also maintained responsibility for the qualification of all manufacturing systems implemented for new products developed in our Adelaide and Shenzhen design centres.I standardised our processes and led the team to better collaborate with industrialisation, design engineering and manufacturing teams, to bring consistency and speed to our qualification processes. This ultimately helped us improve time-to-market for new products and minimise disruptions to supply during industrial transfers.

This role required me to lead us into the adoption of statistical methods, such as capability studies and Advanced Product Quality Planning into new product development processes and to adopt "PPEP" Part Product Evaluation Plans when transferring manufacturing locations or changing suppliers.I put together and led a team of 8 Quality Engineers and qualified some 1800 transferred products across an 18 month period.My team successfully led the implementation of more advanced Industrial transfer and qualification methods, ultimately facilitating the successful integration of multiple manufacturing sites into our new premises at Gepps Cross.

After acquisition by Schneider Electric, the Clipsal Controlgear business was dissolved and I moved over to the mother company where I joined the central quality team.I supported the roll-out of 6-Sigma methodology, trained initially as a Green Belt and later to Black Belt level in DMAIC methodology.I applied these skills in general Process Improvement across our multiple factories, involving metals, moulding, assembly, electronics, customer experience and support functions.In this role I began my leadership career, where I led the metrology team and laboratory.Later I joined the rollout of Schneider's Supplier Quality Management Systems and trained as an upstream Supplier Auditor, which led to working supplier side on continuous improvements.Finally I led the implementation of all Schneider's standard Performance Reporting metrics related to Quality, helping define the information systems needed and data structures required for efficient reporting.

An extension to my previous role, to take responsibility for Business Management Systems, maintenance of ISO certifications, internal auditing programs and to deliver the implementation of ISO:9001 for Design Control certification.Supported a start-up Joint Venture related to Power Factor Correction. Preparing marketing materials and providing technical support in the measurement and assessment of client power supplies, delivering findings that fed into system specifications and solutions.

Responsible for leading root cause investigations and reporting of findings related to all faulty products and customer complaints.In addition, I led the changes needed to ensure suitable corrective and preventative actions were taken inside the supply chain.I also supported manufacturing by ensuring manufacturing systems in the plant were well maintained and managed the control of calibrated equipment.
