Pikes Peak Regional Building Department is a $14.5 million not-for-profit organization that operates under an Inter-governmental agreement with El Paso County and the City of Colorado Springs. The department exists to oversee life safety issues pertaining to design, construction and other matters relating to building code standards.Review and approve residential and commercial construction documents submitted for code compliance, in both paper and electronic formats. Proficient in Bluebeam Revu and StruCalc software applications. Interpret policies and relay them to my team, contractors, architects, engineers and homeowners as part of the construction plan review process. Balance changing priorities, analyze and troubleshoot case-by-case scenarios and make policy judgment calls daily.
