Oversee and build upon ongoing membership and partnership services.

Coordinate the planning, scheduling, development and implementation of recruitment activities to generate a pool of culturally diverse families for foster care.Provide initial and continuing education training for potential relative, foster care and/or adoptive parents.Develop and maintain positive community relationships.Facilitate initial licensing and re-licensing of foster homes.Oversee foster parent orientation and training, retention and advocacy efforts, and become involved in community foster parent coalitions.

Coordinate the delivery of Life Skills School Based curriculum. Facilitate effective collaboration of partners, youth, families, school faculty, program facilitators, and other relevant individuals and partnering agencies.Provide training and oversight for all program facilitators at all sites to assure program delivery is being implemented appropriately and uniformly. Represent the Life Skills School Based Program within APS and the Aurora Community to secure resource development and networking activities with the goal to grow and market the program.Maintain clear communication with school staff and partnering agencies in order to meet each youth’s substance abuse needs. Supervise the program facilitators, coordinating plans of work, facilitate academic supervisions and accountabilities as needed. Coordinate data collection in collaboration with APS and other relevant community partners. Maintain current and accurate records.

Meet with youth for initial assessment utilizing the established Communities That Care Youth Survey. Utilizing the established Risk and protective scale summary, make referrals to appropriate community resources providing follow up as needed. Identify and train community gatekeepers on AYO essentials and how to nominate youth. Maintain knowledge, resource file and contact with community partners and community resources. Enroll and interview youth for the AYO Mentor Program as needed. Effectively represent Aurora Youth Options and Aurora Mental Health Center in the community. Work with Aurora Youth Options to distribute program information broadly to the community. Coordinate data collection in collaboration with community partners. Maintain current and accurate records using Microsoft systems. Attend and participate in team and other meetings as required. Maintain acceptable appearance and attendance record at all times. Coordinate the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Course at AYO and acted as Facilitator Assistant.
