I am an AMFT/APCC with a passion for helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I hold a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. During my time at CBU, I have gained valuable knowledge and skills in various aspects of clinical counseling, such as: assessment, intervention, crisis stabilization, systems of ethics, and various diversity considerations. In 2023-2024, I completed an internship practicum at FAITHS Throughcare Program, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive services to current and formerly incarcerated individuals and their families.I have worked with teams of therapists and social workers to deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive counseling and case management services to clients. I have conducted intake interviews, administered assessments, developed treatment plans, facilitated group therapy sessions, and provided referrals and resources to clients. I have assisted with data collection and analysis, using quantitative and qualitative research methods to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of various research projects I have been a part of, presenting some findings at the Western Psychological Association Conference in 2023. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in data analysis, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and empathy. I am motivated in empowering and collaborating with my clients so they can be the best version of themselves. I aspire to contribute to the well-being and empowerment of marginalized and underserved populations, such as military veterans and incarcerated individuals.
