Following acquisition of SureID by Sterling Talent Solutions, transitioned into full time mobile app development.• Designed and developed native Android (Java) and iOS (Swift) mobile applications for the SureID Fingerprinting Services business.• Enhanced and refactored TAMS, a full stack workflow web application for certifying and managing registration agents and other trusted roles within an organization to support two of the company’s main product lines. It has a Java 8 back-end using Spring with a PostgreSQL database and an AngularJS front-end.• Co-developed the SureID Certified Android application that serves as a customer facing front-end to the SureID product line. It provides registration capabilities and virtual badge display for participants and QR code scanning validation for those needing to verify participants. It is built in Java and leverages the Google Play services library.• Shared Scrum Master responsibilities for two Scrum teams. • Performed Product Owner, Support, and QA work as needed during various organizational changes to keep products and projects moving forward during periods of adversity.

Trips Solutions included Trip Alerts and Messaging services for the traveler and agent and Trip Assist, a hosted trip disruption workflow tool.• Designed and oversaw the development of Trip Center (successor to Agent Advantage) and the second version of Trip Assist, a proactive trip disruption management tool for TMCs.• Solicited market feedback from customers and prospective customers and used it to create a product roadmap to deliver more customer value while building out the second-generation Trips platform.• Created and managed the backlog for a team of 6 developers working on Trips Solutions products.

Worked as a software engineer building travel industry software products using Java, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, JBoss, Struts 1 and 2, Python, Velocity, Shell Script, C#, and other technologies.• Designed and developed FlightStats' first generation itinerary platform and alerting system and the products built on top of them for advising travelers on their day of travel and proactively notifying travel agents of trip disruptions. Itinerary products are in use by major airlines and travel agencies throughout the world. Products include Itinerary Monitor (Traveler Alerts and Disruption Management Alerts), Trip Alert (Opt-In Traveler Profile System), Trip Assist (Disruption Management Workflow Application), Agent Advantage, and Attendant. The back-end was developed in Java with PostgreSQL, Struts, JBoss, and Velocity.• Implemented tools and infrastructural components for use in FlightStats platform and products, including a system-wide notification distribution system using JMX and JMS and a permission system for controlling user access to various modules and components.• Developed a dynamic routing engine for calculating a set of flight route options for getting from one location to another, applying user specified filtering and criteria to prefer certain flights / routes over others. Initially developed for use in Pathfinder-Web, FlightStats' application for Freight Forwarders and Logistics Companies, it is now also used via APIs and in other FlightStats products. The engine used an advanced directed graph algorithm with enhancements for inter-dependent weighting. It was built in Java running on JBoss using Web Services for the interaction with other systems.

Following acquisition of Sight & Sound Software, worked as a software engineer for Datalex, a travel industry solutions provider, with a focus on online booking engines.• Added new features, maintenance, and support of the BookSmart 2.0 product using C++ and CORBA.• Acted as the lead engineer on the implementation and customization of BookSmart for Destina.ca, a Canadian on-line travel agency, in a group project with other third parties. Acquired and documented Destina's requirements, architected the customized solution, and designed and implemented much of the solution, including a backend connection to the Sabre reservation system.

Joined a small and growing company building booking engines for the burgeoning online travel industry as a software developer.• Core developer of Sight & Sound's travel booking engine product, BookSmart 2.0, written primarily in C++ using CORBA, relational databases (such as Oracle), and interfacing with GDS systems (such as Sabre and Amadeus). Key contributions included an XML document system for storing and searching session state using XPath and a CORBA Trader Specification implementation for registering and finding component services.• Worked as the lead engineer on the implementation and customization of BookSmart for ACES Airlines along with IBM Colombia who was implementing the web user interface. Acquired and documented ACES's requirements, architected the customized solution with IBM Colombia engineers, and designed and implemented much of the solution, including a customized booking flow and an EDS Shares reservation system backend.
