Mr. Graves is a Casualty Risk Consultant within the Trucking Division for AIG Property Casualty. Mr. Graves provides technical support and informational needs with emphasis placed on Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Overall support efforts aim to strengthen transportation safety and to reduce exposures and losses.Mr. Graves began his transportation career twenty-five years ago, starting as a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector with the Arkansas Highway Police. The knowledge obtained through this experience proved a firm and beneficial foundation, which led to the migration into the private sector. Experience and responsibilities have included development and implementation of driver safety training, sleep apnea programs, hair testing programs, accident investigation, pre-post trip vehicle inspections and FMCSA Compliance Management Practices. Mr. Graves has held roles as a Regional Safety Manager and as a Director of Safety. Maintaining active roles in both the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and the Arkansas Trucking Association, has added to his experience level. Involvement with the CVSA, Mr. Graves has added insight and discussion efforts into the CVSA Out -of -Service Criteria and addressed regulatory changes relating to commodity specific cargo securement. Mr. Graves is a Graduate of the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA). He is a Certified Director of Safety and Instructor issued by the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI).
