* Designed and built a new SQL 2008R2 Cluster at a new Robina datacentre on the Gold Coast. This will house all the Microsoft mission critical SQL databases for Queensland Health for Australia's newest and largest public hospital facility at Griffith University in Southport. * Implemented a successful SQL migration from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008 for 40 separate mission critical databases and VMware servers.* Transfered 40 separate Health Services SQL applications from the incumbent Southport hospital to new Robina/Griffith hospitals.* Configured secure SQL backups and maintenance plans* Installed and configured SQL Reporting Services for BI.* This system will successfully come on line in September 2013.

• Project managed the upgrade of Chris 21 payroll and MS Dynamics MIS systems in the Rockhampton data centre to VMWare technology using SAN back end infrastructure and virtualised key application servers for payroll and MIS across Primary and DR sites.• Upgraded all SQL databases across the organisation from distributed legacy systems to a centralised SQL 2008 cluster mirrored across the Primary and DR site. This included the Chris 21 payroll, MS Dynamics MIS and other key applications such as Servidesk, Remote Desktop Support Manager, and web based applications used by the schools.• Designed and Project managed an upgrade of the Curriculum Servers ( distributed AD servers) for 29 primary school sites. The project was quite complicated and involved the rollout of a VMWare ESX host server at each primary school and virtualising their existing Curriculum server to replace the ageing 4 year old legacy hardware. This provides an ongoing environment to remotely roll out additional VMWare servers to each school from the DCEO headoffice in the future to allow a remote upgrade across the WAN to Windows 2008.

• Project managed the development of a new 64 bit Colocation site at Global Switch Ultimo to deploy SAN & VMWare technology and virtualised key application servers such as MS Dynamics MIS, Chris 21 Payroll, MS Exchange, test MS Sharepoint / MOSS 2007 intranet and MS Systems Centre Operations Manager Server.• Designed DR capability within VMWare 3.5 and SAN environment to a failover CoLo at Exuinox Alexandria Sydney.• Project managed an upgrade of the Citrix environment to Presentation Server 4.5 on blade servers to deploy MS Dynamics Great Plains and all other business applications (over 120 applications) published to 750 users across 120 distributed sites. Developed a remote Citrix rebuild DR process.• Project managed successful MS Dynamics Great Plains MIS, Chris 21 Payroll & MS Exchange system upgrades. Due to careful DR planning there has been no downtime of any key applications for the organisation in over 8 years.• Restructured data communications & telecommunications costs across the organisation and moved the organisation to Unified Messaging & IP telephony solution for all Telemarketing Call Centres (50 seats) and business services users (600 seats).• Managed an Outsourced IT Helpdesk staff of 3 handling approximately 600 servicedesk IT calls per month. Upgraded the Servicedesk application to an ITIL based solution that was hosted in house.• Designed managed fleet printing systems standardised on HP printers to integrate with citrix environment to drive down costs of printing across the organisation.• Developed corporate IP telephony strategy based on Microsoft technology which integrates natively with MS CRM 4.0 for fundraising supporters, MS Dynamics Great Plains MIS application, MS Sharepoint Server 2007 intranet and MS Exchange 2007 email applications.• Upgraded 4 distributed Call centres to state of the art IP telephony platform to form a virtual single call centre using a centralised Microsoft based technology predictive dialer phone system.

The group has exclusive marketing & distribution in NSW, Qld & Vic for over 300 Australian wineries.My role started as Financial Controller and developed more into IT management for the business as the business grew. I designed and implemented IT processes & procedures and maintained the Financial & CRM systems.Key contributions :• The Headoffice located in Epsom Rd, Roseberry NSW was devastated from a large Sydney hailstorm in May 1999. I organised a relocation of the IT network to a DR site at the Managing Director’s house, and then later to new interim 2 year business premises. Routed all phone calls for 10 Customer Services Agents to mobile technology for business continuity. This was a real wake up call to the importance of DR planning.• Managed phone system hardware & software for medium sized call centre (10 Agents) and voicemail systems• Upgraded accounting system from Arrow (FlexQL) to Platinum (SQL) database platform and organised & implemented staff training on new systems• Implemented first email system for NSW sites based on MS Exchange 5.0 and MS Outlook clients• Migrated network & users from Novel Netware 5.0 to Microsoft NT.
