CONTRACTS MANAGER: When I started at this Orthotic & Prosthetic company, there were 8 contracts. I negotiated over 50 contracts: including (2) Long Beach Veteran Affairs (VA) contracts with (4) optional extentions, following strict Federal Acquisition Regulations and government guidelines, Medicare revalidation, and large medical groups (e.g. St Joseph Health System, Regal Medical, Prospect, HCP, Monarch) and hospitals (e.g. Prime Healthcare OC & IE, St. Jude Medical Center, Anaheim Regional Medical Center). My objective is to negotiate and finalize contracts that are mutually beneficial, while nurturing the relationship between the medical group and our company. Maintained all contract files and re-credentialing document requests. GENERAL MANAGER: Successfully managed the transition and implementation of OPIE Patient Management software (“Practice Management” – Patient files through to billing). I managed and assisted with educational in-services for medical group UM Case Managers. I implemented improvements for a better front office workflow. I created marketing strategies for the owner to follow, as well as, developed company information packets for marketing local business opportunities. Assisted in claim billing, A/R collections, HCPCS coding (DMEPOS) and patient scheduling as needed. I handled all formal patient grievance and appeal cases. I updated and maintained P&P manuals as well as the facility ABC Certification and Corrective Action Plans when required. Point Person for Medicare on site spot inspections.
