A recognized business developer, salesman, raconteur, teamster and professional auctioneer, Brett V. Barker has over 40 years of selling and training experience of people, horses and bird dogs. "Colonel" Barker is a certified bi-lingual professional auctioneer and a graduate of The World Wide College of Auctioneering. Mr Barker co-owns (with his wife Heidi Berger) and operates Barker-Berger Farms in Hotchkiss, CO. The farm produces high quality grass/alfalfa mix hay for serious horse owners and beef producers. Our critical mission on the farm is to mentor and coach young men/women and provide a framework of faith based work and life lessons while engaging in physical labor that is rewarding and builds a sense of teamwork and purpose. Hard work on the farm is rewarding for all and is especially meaningful for Heidi and I when we see young people blossom and grow. Mr. Barker is Director of Business Development for Process Optimizer, LLC, a Lean Lens company founded and co-created by his wife Heidi. Process Optimizer helps companies discover the enormous power of optimizing their Core Processes. While Process Optimizer is a dynamic and growing company, the critical mission is to help people and organizations and we believe we are succeeding! Brett also maintains a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Our farm is irrigated with two center pivots and 12 big guns and our fields are regularly soil tested. Our hay is a beautiful mix of meadow brome, smooth brome, orchard grass, rye grass, mammoth red clover, wheat grass and alfalfa. We test every cutting of hay and consistently produce excellent forage with great protein levels and other nutrient values. We offer 3 x 3 x 8 large squares (725 lbs - 795lbs average weight) as well as small two twine bales (50lbs - 65lbs average weight). We deliver by the semi load to surrounding states and we also offer hay right out of the field. Serious horse owners and cattle producers who appreciate proper nutrition will benefit from feeding our hay.
