EIS recently purchased Topaz phased array ultrasonic equipment to aid in corrosion mapping and will soon be offering phased array flaw detection as well! We offer ultrasonic scanning of aboveground storage tanks using the Eddyfi Scorpion II scanner/crawler which allows full height UT data gathering on tanks without the need for scaffolding or rope access.Our services are performed in accordance with several industry codes & standards, primarily through API (the American Petroleum Institute), including, but not limited to:API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspection Code: in-service inspection, rating, repair & alterationAPI 570 – Piping Inspection Code: inspection, repair, alteration & re-rating of in-service piping systemsAPI 653 – Tank inspections, repair, alteration & reconstructionAPI 12R1 – Recommended practice for setting, maintenance, inspection, operation & repair of tanks in production serviceSTI-SP001 – Tank Inspection CodeTypical services include performing external and internal visual inspections and on-stream inspections, including UTT corrosion monitoring. This UT data is entered into a corrosion monitoring program, which projects next inspection due dates & equipment retirement dates, in accordance with the above referenced inspection codes. Our data entry group is also proficient at using several other commercial mechanical integrity programs such as PCMS, RBMI and Meridium/APM.With over 50 years of experience in the mechanical integrity arena, EIS can assist our customers through consultation and sharing of best practices.EIS customers include the oil and gas industry, power stations, pipelines, water treating facilities, and manufacturing plants just to name a few.
