Shadbolt Engineering has developed specialist experience in working with Defence and related groups in the Defence Industry. I was positioned at the BAE Systems dockyard in Williamstown and was able to help build both construction blocks for the AWD (Air Warfare Destroyer) and the 2x LHD’s (Landing Helicopter Dock) HMAS Canberra and HMAS Adelaide. Racecraft was known for its specialist TIG welding and production of race car components for the top teams in the sport. Racecraft developed and produced an array of products for Holden Racing Team (HRT), Paul Weel Racing (PWR), Kmart Racing, Kelly Racing and Mitsubishi Ralliart Australia including suspension components, Exhaust Systems, Radiators and Oil and Fuel System components along with chassis production, repairs and upgrades. Racecraft also had ongoing work from HSV developing and building components for their W427 project, which was and still is the fastest and most expensive Australian car ever produced. Dencar Racing was the sole supplier of body shells and all fabricated components to Holden Racing Team and its satellite teams.Responsibilities• Responsible for monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programmes.• Estimating costs of new components.• Engineering of components and chassis.• Overseeing the production process.• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.• Fabrication and welding of new car builds and components.
