I have a background in Graphic Design and a lifetime of being involved with local libraries, as a volunteer, employee, or overenthusiastic patron. Libraries are a hidden gem to most people, and I would love to spread the word that libraries offer far more than just books these days. Zombie makeup tutorials, self-defense classes, publicly-available 3D printers, haunted houses, community gardens, jazz concerts, video game tournaments, blood drives, yoga sessions, Comic-Cons, author visits, and genealogy courses are all experiences I've had in my time spent at the local library, and new and exciting ideas are always being considered. My goal is to continue to improve the public library and make sure the world knows what they offer!
