Brett is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with over 24 years distinguished performance in the not-for-profit sector serving the Public Works Engineering, Heavy Vehicle and Automotive industries. Brett's broad based skill set is underpinned by a commitment to developing the resources, reputation and influence of an organisation.Recognised for his decisive and strategic leadership, Brett is a highly effective advocate with the ability to build strong and lasting stakeholder relationships and a proven ability to face challenges head-on and execute optimal decisions. Having led and overseen the transformation of a state association to peak national body, Brett has demonstrated a strategic and long-term vision to ensure organisations remain effective, innovative, and deliver tangible benefits for its members into the future. Brett has secured key positions and advocated in representative forums at all levels of Government, in policy, regulatory, technical standards, and vocational skills development. In addition, he has extensive event management experience being instrumental in the growth and success over two decades leading the largest transport industry event in the southern hemisphere – The Brisbane Truck Show, attracting over 35,000 attendees at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.Brett is a Fellow of The Australasian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE) and recently joined the Board of children’s charity – The Australian Institute of Play to realise its Vision to revitalise ‘Local Play Every Day’.
